Creatively, I explore endurance, optimism, and labor through performed gestures. Conscious living involves pedestrian acts, repetitive cycles, and sustained hope—which require effort. My work considers aging, self-help, daily routines, and the hoops that we jump through in order to satisfy social and professional expectations. These processes, like striving for balance, are slow, dim, and at times pleasurable. There is something tender in the optimism that accompanies perseverance and power in the choice to endure.
